Memorial Hall

The original ‘parish schoolhouse’, built in 1858, was extended in 1920 and turned into a parish hall with a chapel as a memorial to members of the congregation who died in WWI.

This was then referred to as the Memorial Hall.  To your right as you enter the hall is the original stage area. There is a strong connection between our parish and the theatre as it is here that the theatre Guild began. The area has now been converted to a much-needed meeting room and library. It also contains stained glass from Trinity Church. On the inside wall is a unique stained-glass window from St Alban’s School Chapel depicting the arts.

Ideal venue for:

  • wedding and funeral receptions
  • corporate and board meetings
  • conferences, workshops or educational or training events
  • dinners
  • musical rehearsals and performances (wonderful acoustics)
